v SPECIAL NOTICE FOR APPLICANTS FROM INDIA: Many of you have written us about an organization in India called Infozee that is using our copyrighted materials. As you have pointed out, they have copied not just the structure and substance of our service, but entire passages from our Web site in an apparent attempt to confuse visitors into thinking our two sites are somehow related. We work with a lot of Indian applicants, and we want to make clear that Infozee is not our partner and that we don't endorse their work. In fact, I have contacted Suresh Sundaram, one of the founders of Infozee, and asked him to remove our copyrighted materials. Unfortunately, he has refused to do so, which leaves us no choice but to sue his employees in the U.S. and expose his tactics in the Indian press. A Warning We have no problem with other organizations doing MBA admissions consulting. In fact, it was a lack of solid advice on the Web that finally forced us to put up an MBA information site after doing admissions consulting exclusively in Los Angeles for almost five years. So it is particularly appalling to have our materials stolen by amateurs who appear to be so ignorant of the business school admissions process that they can't even write their own Web site on the topic. I'm hoping the folks at Infozee will come to their senses and do the right thing. They're pretty young, so they may not know better. (Suresh is a 1997 graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay.) The People Behind the Facade Infozee is part of a company called Eazy Softech, which is based in Haryana, India. The people who are in some way connected with Infozee include the following (with more links to come).
Suresh
Sundaram Suresh has threatened to retaliate against us for exposing the truth: "However, if anything is written against us by a private company or individual, we will not hesitate to take strong retaliatory action." So don't be surprised if he does so. We believe it's in the interest of Indian applicants, though, to know the truth about Infozee so you can use another service. Once again, we are not affiliated with Infozee and we have not authorized them to use our materials. Decide for Yourself On the following pages we have listed some of the passages that Infozee stole from our site. Read them and decide for yourself whether Infozee is the kind of company you can work with. |
